it was nice that we got to see racing last night at lv but the track crew, managementhas to be more concerned with driver safety by not leaving the berm on the
inside of the track like they have for the last two races. last night two drivers had a scarry ride over this berm luckly not flipping or having any other
serious problem. safety should be number one for the drivers on the track.if you have the equipment to move the clay as far as they did they could push it in
to the infield and make it safer for the drivers and infield workers. not to mention the damage that is caused if you hit this clay from 50 to over 100 mph. my
fear is that someone will be seriously hurt or killed be cause of this. just my opinion grt0404 greg eckl

im in the same opinion thats two weeks in a row they have been lucky that mud laying right next to the racing surface is going to get someone hurt but if they
cared they would move it
the king has spoken....

I too, agree that the mud berm on the inside was a safety issue.....also, I thought that they should have taken a few minutes between heats or at intermission
to knock down the cushion. I believe by doing this it would have created another groove for racing. As it was, if anyone hit the cushion wrong or went over
it, they lost ground. It was too low on the track. But, it didn't matter in the end because of the fog. Overall, the racing that I got to see was
pretty good.

Little Valley has two loaders to flatten the inside berm down. One had a broken piston and the other trannsmission was blown.
I had my radio on during the super stock heat with the two cars in turn four. Apparently they were so tangled up that they needed the welder to come out and cut some pipes (bumper??) to free the two cars. As the last rain fell at 2:05PM .. L. Valley track crew was on the track getting it ready to go again for the nights action. I too wish the cushion was higher, but those guys did a hell of job to make the track as good as it was. If the show wasnt running late due to the late start, I'm sure the corners would have been worked on, but time wasnt on their side with curfew and FOG. The Andrews - Coffey heat race was fantastic side by side racing. Cant ask for a better show from those two guys. Hopefully the rest of the shows there, there is NO precipitation on RACE DAY. There be no inside berm. I know the track doesnt want a inside berm. Again, to the Charlesworth boys who busted their butts working the track. A JOB WELL DONE.

Chris, Please don't take my reply as bashing Little Valley. I agree, the crew did an outstanding jog getting the track to it's condition considering
the rain. I'm glad that you clarified why the berm was not flattened down due to broken equipment. As far as the cushion....I understand that because
of the rain and the track conditions the cushion was low. I was not aware that the track has a curfew which made the crew unable to work on the corners.
Overall, with the conditions at hand, the racing was very enjoyable. This was my first visit to Little Valley and it won't be my last. I'll be back!

OK, I guess this is the way I see it. The mud pushed up against the inside of the track works about the same as an inside guardrail. Not for sure, but I would
think that might be their thinking when they worked on the track after the rain both times. Anyhow,,,,,,,, back to the 2 cars hooked in turn 4. I REPEAT, THIS
IS NOT A BASH, just a quick explanation: at first, there wasnt much fast movement involving the wreckers. Once they got there, it was determined by the WHITE
truck wrecker that the 2 cars were hooked to bad to pulled, pushed or lifted off of each other. The M1's front bumper was hooked over the 27's left
rear tire pinched up against the drivers seat and the other end of his bumper was hooked up over the rear bumper of the 27. So he says they need to cut the
27's rear bumper portion so they call for the welding truck. The reason was there was no movement L, R, U or Down with the cars. While waiting, myself and
a few other people who were all right there checking things out said remove the flat rear tire and see what happens? It got shot down by the white wrecker guy.
The Bedell kid comes out of the pits on his 4 wheeler and looks things over, goes back in the pits, comes back out and starts removing the rear tire. He
specifically says once the tire is off, you can then start moving the cars around to unwedge the cars. The guy in the white tow truck gets pissed, says he has
been doing this for 30 years, bla bla bla,,,,,,,,, anyhow, the welding truck was never needed and you saw both cars go off under their own power. I'll try
and post the photo I took of this but bottom line was the wrong call was made by the wrecking crew + the slow movement of them!!!
